WE ARE THE CITIZENS OF HEAVEN

Pastor Zamo

Friday, 5 February, 2016

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior (Philippians 3:20).

When the Apostle Paul was once ministering in Rome, he discovered that the citizens of a Roman colony were mandated to promote the interests of Rome and maintain the dignity of the city over and above tasked to colonise the whole world with Roman doctrines. In the same way as Christians, we are mandated by Jesus Christ to promote the heavenly interests on earth and lead lives worthy of heavenly citizenship. On our verse above, Apostle Paul writes to the church reminding us that we do not belong to this world, although we live in this world due to our earthly bodies but we are not of this world (2 Corinthians 10:3). We belong to heaven where our Lord Jesus Christ lives.

Have you transferred your citizenship as child of God or are you still living in accordance with the standard of the world (Romans 12:2)? How are you promoting the heavenly interests in your everyday life? What attributes do you bear that will influence the world to transfer their citizenship from earth to heaven? These are the questions that God will ask us one day? If you are materially poor as a child of God, begin to visit our heavenly constitution and discover your rights to wealth. Get rid of the world’s poverty mentality; get rid of sickness consciousness. Be heavenly conscious.

Each country warrants its citizens various rights: right to health, right to economic well-being and wealth, right to security etc. So are we, we are the government of Zion (Psalm 87:4-6), all earthly blessing belongs to us. Know all your heavenly rights and you will never ever succumb to the devil and his lies, you will live a higher life that Jesus Christ has ordained you to lead. We are the citizens of heaven.

 Declaration

I declare that I’m seated with Christ in the place of authority, over and above all principalities, powers, rulers and kingdoms. I declare that I’m above every government (be it in the heavens, on earth and under the earth), I am above every authority, power, lordship and every name that is named in this age and also in the age to come. I’m triumphant; over and above all circumstances of life and reign above all kings in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
