PROPHET Z MAJOLA
NO PAIN NO GAIN

John 16:6-7 NLT
Instead, you grieve because of what I've told you. But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don't, the Advocate won't come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.

Before David was appointed and anointed as a king of Israel, he was caring for his father's sheep. The manuscripts confirm that amongst other things that he did during the day whilst the sheep was grazing, he could practice, aiming at objects using a sling. Over five times he would miss the object but surely knocks it at the seventh time. He never gave up until he got it right at the first attempt. He did this up until he was made perfect.

Over several occasions he fought bears and lions and tore their jaws apart defending the sheep (1 Sam.17:36). David never  had in his mind that all the challenges he was going through for just a shepherd's wage was preparing him to be the king.

The opening scripture teaches us that some of the things that we grieve about today would be turned to tears of joy tomorrow as they are preparing us for higher positions in life (Jn.16:20-22).

Jesus is merely saying that painful as it is that He must die in the cross but after His death we will be promoted to another level in life, a higher life. If you want a promotion in life you must be ready to fight bears and lions that hinders your path (1 Sam.17:37). If there is no war there will be no victory. I mean no pain no gain.

PRAYER

O Lord my God, prepare me with all God's armour of spirit as I defend my territory, deliver me from the paws of the bear just like you did with David. Lord, you're a Mighty Lion of Judah, as I go for my dream, save me from the paws of  mighty lions in Jesus' Name. Lord, allow your Spirit to fall mightily upon me as I nullify all sorts of uncircumcised Philistines in my life that hinders my breakthrough  in Jesus' Name. Amen
