"And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30)."
The bible in the same chapter above (V.28) says those who used to steal must steal no more but rather let them work to have enough to share with others. This verse is not referring to the unsaved but rather it refers to Christians.
If you're used to taking from other people even their little last resource for yourself you should stop. Do not be a bed bug kind of a Christian. Let your hands labour so that you will acquire enough to give to others.
In (V.29) it says let no corrupt words proceed from your mouth but rather speak words that edifies and impart grace to the hearers. Do not use harsh words when addressing people, even when rebuking those who have err you, rebuke them out of love and let them see their wrongs, do not use your material advantage or your position to crucify them.
Our opening verse educates us about the stumbling blocks that can hinder the move and the flow of the Holy Spirit from our lives. It is important to know as a child of God that it's not only major sins that grieve the Holy Spirit but the little ones that we do not even take notice of. It is the small foxes that ruin the whole vineyards (Song.2:15). Let His power flow through you to establish and extend help to the helpless.
...further study: "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8 NKJV)"
"...let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water (Hebrews 10:22)
Dear Lord Jesus, please forgive me where I acted unfairly, unjust and aggressive to my fellow neighbors. Cleanse my heart and my conscience so that the power of the Holy Spirit may flow through me as a conduit of breakthrough to those who are within my surround. Help me to impart grace from my speech to all those under the sound of my voice. Make me the kind of the leader that you would find peace of and be pleased to entrust all your resources to for they will be extended to help those who are in need in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
